Sale-a-bration Meander album continued.
Here are some more photographs of the meander album we made in class on Saturday.
I love making these little books and they are so easy to make. I know some crafters are reluctant to make a project like this but coming to a class gives them the confidence to then go and make it at home as well. If you would like to come to a class and make some great projects check out my new class schedule.

Lovely as a tree - Shoe box swap
A few weeks ago I took part in a shoe box swap with some other demos in the area. What on earth is a shoe box swap I hear you say. Well, it is where everyone designs a card and puts everything you need to make it in a shoe box. We then got to make everyones design. I haven't got round to photographing them all yet but this is the one I designed.
I thought I'd make a mans card for a change. It is a twisted easel card using the lovely as a tree stamp set. I just used one ink pad, not quite navy, to get the different shades stamp onto scrap paper before you stamp onto your card.

The DSP I used is called well worn and it's great for mens cards and I used some denim ribbon. I made the photo corners using the square punch. The birthday stamp is from the happiest birthday wished stamp set which you can only get by hosting a workshop, it is a great value set and I seem to be using it a lot. If you would like to learn different stamping techniques and how to make the most of your tools why not get in touch with me and book a workshop/stamping party or come to one of my classes, I will be poting a new class schedule in the next few days so pop back and take a look.
We all had a lovely day and I will post the cards and box I made soon and THANK YOU Margaret for the beautiful buffet lunch she made us, it was a big surprise and very scrummy!

Scallop envelop treat holder
This is the last thing we made in class, honest! Again I tried several different colour schemes before I went for poppy red and black. These little treat holders are easy to make with 2 die cut envelopes.
The other colour schemes were poppy red and crumb cake and island indigo, pool party and calypso coral.
In the classes where I feature a tool or stamp I try and give you lots of ideas onhow to use it so you have the confidence to have a play and get the most out of your punches and dies etc. If you would like to come to a class just let me know, the next one is on March 24th and we wil be making a mini album using the SAB stamps and papers, what's more if you spend £45 on the day you get the class free and choose a SAB stamp set or papers free as well.

More from scallop envelope die projects
Here are some more things we made at the scallop envelope die class. The first one is a card with an envelope on the front, I used one of the SAB stamp sets - fresh vintage - carrying on from yesterday's purse the colour scheme is poppy red and black.
Then we made a gift card envelope, the scallop envelope die is too small to fit a gift card but it is really easy to extend it, this tutorial shows you how. I used some of the everyday enchantment SAB dsp, remember you can get this free with a £45 order by 31st March. The belly band is made using the modern label punch and a SAB stamp from elementary elegance set.
Scallop envelope purse
Hi, I thought I would share something we made in our scallop envelope class. We made a lovely purse based on this tutorial by Monica, a very talented demonstrator. I made two different colour combos before I went for black and poppy red.
This is the one we made,
This is the one we made,
The flower is made using the party blossom die from the spring mini catalogue and an antique brad for the center. I used the ribbon border punch and some black satin ribbon for the handle. We used a velcro dot fastener, slightly different from the tutorial.
My first purse used island indigo, calypso coral and pool party - very retro looking and the second one was poppy red and crumb cake but I decided I liked the black and red combo best. What do you think?

Flirtatious meander album
Meander or Maze books are great, they are really easy to make using 1 sheet of DSP for the inside and some card, (I use grey board) and dsp or stamped paper for the cover. You can find a tutorial here . I made this one for Rebecca and as it was for baby photos I thought the Flirtatious DSP and doilies stamp set would go well.
I used the doilies stamp set and stamped on whisper white to make my front cover, I die cut the R from some scrap DSP that was punched out in one of the pages.
You can make the pages so they have pockets inside, seal them down, fold parts over, punch apertures out, it's very versatile and you can use it as a little photo album or put inspiration verses in or just decorate with your favourite stamps. Here are some pages,
I will show you some more pages tomorrow.
