Spice cake fancy flower roses

Some more things we made in our class, no wonder it over ran! The first thing we made were the roses out of spice cake dsp as the glue needed time to dry. I used this tutorial, I did adapt it a little, I added a centre, one petal curled around and I snipped a little bit off the bottom of the cones to help them sit properly.Again we put it on top of a pillow box.

 We made a card to match using the triple treat flower, we used the brush ends of the markers to solour the stamp in colours that matched the spice cake dsp.

There are so many fantastic tutorials, blogs and stampin' up projects on the internet it seems silly to re-invent the wheel but I will always give credit where it is due and never take anyones ideas as my own.
We had a great time in the class and I hope the ladies learned some things, they got a triple treat flower stamp and fancy flower punch in with the class price so they should be making lots of things to show me! Here's something else we made in our triple treat/fancy flower class.  There are a lot of things you can do with your fancy flower punch beside punching out your image, we hade 2 different 3-d flowers, totay I will show you the carnation we made. I used this tutorial, they are so easy to make, they just take a little time but I think they are worth it. We put ours on a plain pillow box but you can really spruce the pillow box up or use it on other things, I just wanted to fit as many different things into the class as possible!

Santa candy cane holders

I had a very busy weekend, on Saturday I did a Start Stamping Christmas Cards class using the dasher stamp, this went really well and we all enjoyed ourselves. I have got plans for at least one more class this year and will be planning a great schedule of classes for the New Year so watch this space.

Here are some Santa candy cane holders I made using the pillow box die and ornament punch.

Halloween and Dasher!

I have been busy designing cards for my Dasher card, have a look on my class/events page for details.
I have also been having lots of fun making some treat holders for halloween using punches and the great frightful sight DSP we have.

I die cut 2 scallop envelopes for the treat holder and made the ghost using the owl punch, just turn the body upside down and cut his feet off!

For the spider box I used the pillow box die and circle punches for the spider although I think he's more cute than scary!

The pumpkin is made using the oval punch and the leaves from the 2 step bird punch.
