Scallop envelope post-it-note holders
I have been busy making things for my craft store on Sunday 6th November, at Guisborough Sea Cadets, Belmangate, Guisborough TS14 7AQ, 10am-2pm. Please pop along if you're in the area, there will be different crafts there, wood turning, jewellery making, handmade soap, leather craft to name a few as well as me! It would be great to see you and a fabulous chance to find out more about Stamp-in' Up and see the projects tor my christmas class in real life.
Here are some post-it-note holders I made using stampin' up's scallop envelope die, there's a tutorial on how to make them in the tutorial section of my blog. I have been using some of my retired DSP, the first ones use the springtime vintage DSP and the second photo shows one using the playtime DSP, (I think that's it's name!).
I love making these and I can see everyone in my office having one soon!

Halloween and Dasher!
I have been busy designing cards for my Dasher card, have a look on my class/events page for details.
I have also been having lots of fun making some treat holders for halloween using punches and the great frightful sight DSP we have.

I die cut 2 scallop envelopes for the treat holder and made the ghost using the owl punch, just turn the body upside down and cut his feet off!
For the spider box I used the pillow box die and circle punches for the spider although I think he's more cute than scary!
The pumpkin is made using the oval punch and the leaves from the 2 step bird punch.

Stampin' Up do Fabric!
One of the new products we have in our catalogue this year is fabric, it is beautiful and co-ordinates beautifully with our stamps and papers. I did not buy any but it is now on my, (rather large) wish list because I got some in my training on saturday, (yes we had to take a needle and thread!) and saw some fantastic ideas from other demonstrators, thanks Sally-Jo, Gemma and Jane.
We made two broaches using the flirtatious fabric and some scallop dot ribbon, these are dead easy and I can see me making lots of them!
When I got home I just had to have a play, after watching strictly come dancing of course. I had some pink felt in my stash that matched beautifully so I unpicked one of the broaches, I had sewn the fastener on backwards anyway and this is what I came up with.
I used my big shot and the fun flowers die and swapped the button for an antique brad, (they are gorgeous) and changed it into a key ring/bag charm.
Here they are together.

Training Swaps
I was lucky enough to attend Julie's Jems team training yesterday even though I'm not a Jem, so thank you Julie I had a great day. When ever Stampin' Up demonstrators get together we always do a swap, swapping card fronts and 3-d items. So we come away with some great ideas and lovely samples of stamp sets and papers that we may not have yet so we can show our customers.
These are the swaps I made using the Polar Party stamp set and designer frames textured embossing folders, these are in our new catalogue and I love them.
I made it in two different colour ways, night of navy/pool party with white embossing powder and olive gree/real red with gold embossing powder.
I cut three sides of the embossing folder to make a little door, open it up and there's a little surprise, (isn't that ruffled ribbon gorgeous)!
Here's the other colour combo, I cut the frame a different way so we could have some penguins.

Swirls and Pearls challenge
Hi All
I thought I would enter the swirls and pearls challenge over at Simply Stampin' Challenge blog. Swirls just called for the season of joy stamp set, this is probably my favourite stamp set, it's so versatile and not just for Christmas. Saying that, here's a Christmas card, (I know it's only October!) I made using this set and some non-traditional colours, chocolate chip, very vanilla and calypso coral one of the new in colours and of course, some pearls.
I used the new lace ribbon punch and treaded some chocolate chip card through.
The second card is not quite swirls and pearls as I thought gems went better, again non traditional colours, tempting turqouise and whisper white, I used white embossing powder and some punches to add a bit of dimension.
