Just a quick post. A colleague asked me to make a birthday card for his 9 year old nephew so here is what I came up with adapted from a card I saw on you-tube, if I find the link I will post it here. Lots of punched owls and I used a few stamp sets, funky four, fast notes and one I forgot the name of!

For the teacher - envelope album
Sorry for the lack of posts, my computer has been playing up. I made another envelope photo album as a Thank You present for Jessies teacher. I love making these, there is a video by Dawn here but you do need to adjust the size as our envelopes are bigger than US ones, instead of scoring at 6" & 6 3/4" score at 6 3/4" & 7 1/2". This means your front page is smaller so I used ribbon which I stuck all round the album to fasten rather than the fastening in the video.
As it was for an infant school teacher I thought I would keep it quite bright and child like so play date DSP was great, I cut out the numbers and matted them on punched scallop squares and stuck to co-ordinating colours, real red, so saffron, old olive, chocolate chip and tempting turquoise.
There isn't much stamping, I used a few stamps from the hostess set cute by the inch but it's mainly dsp, punched card and the alphabet die.
The 'Mr Watson', (guess the name of the teacher!) section is the front of the concertinered envelopes, I have left the mats blank for Mr Watson to add his own photos. I enjoyed making this little keepsake and think Mr Watson liked it. Do you like the Mr Watson Owl with his little bow tie?

Teachers Thank you cards
Just a quick post, here's some teachers thank you cards. Jess age 7 made the first card using the sweet heart stamp set. I think she did a great job.
I made the second card using the funky four stamp set, colouring the stamp with markers to get multi colour mushrooms! I used the polka dot embossing folder for texture, the thank u is from cuter by the inch hostess set.

Anniversary card no. 2
This is my second anniversary card, I used the same sketch as yesterday, from simply stampin' challange no.16, here, but used a more subtle colour, bashful blue, my husband prefers this one, I like yesterdays best, which do you prefer?. I added a butterfly instead of one of the flowers and used the very vintage wheel to do the background on the bashful blue cardstock.

Very Vintage wheel and vintage vogue Anniversary Card
There are three July wedding anniversaries in my family so I thought I'd better get a start on them. I've used the sketch from the Simply Stampin' Challenge blog here , challenge 16. I used some colours I've not used before, old olive and rich razzleberry, they are very strong colours but I liked them together. I also used the very vintage wheel, I love the wheels, especially the jumbo ones, they are great for covering large areas quickly, this wheel goes beautifully with the vintage vogue stamp set. Here is my card:
I sponged the edges of the card with rich razzleberry ink using sponge daubers, ruffled some old olive satin ribbon and added some pearls. I then stamped an anniversary sentiment straight onto the card base. I hope you like it, I love these colours but my husband prefers the one I will be showing you tomorrow

More Owls
Here are some more owls. I have made some corner bookmarks this time so you can keep your owl for longer! I will have to put a tutorial up for these bookmarks as they are so easy to do, if you look it up on you tube you will find a few. My first card uses marina mist
I used dsp and gems for his waistcoat and teamed the blue up with early expresso card.
My other combination is wild wasabi, earlt expresso and crumb cake.
