Gift Card Holder and FREE TUTORIAL

This is the gift card holder that matches the little album we made yesterday. It is made from half a sheet of A4 card and more of the Sycamore Street DSP to decorate.

 This is the holder opened up. There is space for your gift card and a message.

Open Sleigh Gift Card holder

Sorry but there are more cards to show you from the Open Sleigh class.  These cards are a little different, we cut the front in half diagonally and then stuck the triangle inside to make a pocket for a gift card.

Here is another gift card holder made in exactly the same way but this time the card blank was an A4 card cut lengthways.

Joyous Celebrations Gift Card and quick tutorial

My last Joyous Celebrations creation, (for now!). This is a quick and easy gift card holder.

• 10.5cm x 19cm crumb cake card
• Score at 7cm and 14 cm, score and fold
• On 5cm wide section punch about 1/3^rd of extra large oval, place sticky strip on two sides and stick to make pocket.
•  Decorate pocket with 2cm x 10.5cm cherry cobbler card and 1.5cm x 10.5cm of DSP.
• Front of holder is decorated with 6.5cm x 10cm festival of prints DSP.
• For belly band, 16cm x 2.5cm of cherry cobbler card, fold around middle of holder so ends join in the middle of the card, not too tightly. Stick together with sticky strip.
•   Stamp the oval frame in cherry cobbler ink then December 25 image inside in early expresso, (you could use the stamp-a-ma-jig to line it up), then punch out using extra large oval. Stick this over the join on belly band.       

More from scallop envelope die projects

Here are some more things we made at the scallop envelope die class.  The first one is a card with an envelope on the front, I used one of the SAB stamp sets - fresh vintage - carrying on from yesterday's purse the colour scheme is poppy red and black.

Then we made a gift card envelope, the scallop envelope die is too small to fit a gift card but it is really easy to extend it, this tutorial shows you how. I used some of the everyday enchantment SAB dsp, remember you can get this free with a £45 order by 31st March. The belly band is made using the modern label punch and a SAB stamp from elementary elegance set.

Handbag and gift card holder

I dug out an old sizzix die I have had for ages and not really used, I thought I'd see what it looks like made up using Stampin' Up cardstock and it looks great, I can see a few of these being made!  I used rose red card and spring vintage DSP, I thought I'd make it in to a gift card holder, to make that gift a little more special, but you could put whatever you like in.

I puched 2 different sized circles, stuck them together and attached them to the bag with a brad from the hodgepodge as a fastener. I pleated some crumb cake ribbon to make a frill.

I ruffled a bit more ribbon by pulling on a thread and attached it to the front of the gift card holder. I used the four label stamp set and matching punch for the gift card holder, I left the label inside blank to put a message.
