Manhattan Rose and Mini Milk Carton Die Bird House

Well I hope you are all looking forward to  a lovely Jubillee Weekend.   Here are the other projects we made at the last class.  The first one is a card we made using the Manhattan Rose embossing folder, it is a very simple card but I think it would be good for a lot of occassions. Once you have embossed your flower on whisper white turn it over and use a brayer to ink over it then cut out.  We did this with pink pirouette ink although I have used two colours in the past and that looks really nice.

Then we made a little birdhouse using the mini milk carton die and bird punch. I used the nursery nest DSPon the roof.

Manhattan Rose - my first challange card

There is a new Stampin Challange blog - see the link on my side bar, so first time ever I have entered a stamping challange. I used the new manhattan rose embossing folder, after embossing I brayered the reverse side with so saffron and regal red then cut out and layered on very vanilla card.  There is a video on you tube with this technique, just search 'manhattan embossing folder and brayer' and you should find it.  I used the sketch on the challange as my layout, just changed it to horizontal.
Here's my card
Good luck to all the girls on the challange blog, why not have a look at their blog and have a go yourself?
